1. For those of you who are CAE's, are you on the level of senior management, to include salary level/compensation?

2. Do you know of any authoritative literature that would state that CAE's should be on the same level as that of senior management? e.g. the IIA certainly infers this, but I find no statement to that effect.

3. If any of you are in the insurance industry, or for any of you in general, where can I find information that provides the number of internal audit staff for a given size organization. e.g. in insurance, I wonder if there are guidelines for staff size to let's say Gross Premiums Written?

to benchmark your IA department to others you need to join the GAIN/Benchmarking group on the IIA website
